    Pramod Dongare, Operations Director, BTW Group of Companies is serving as Quality Control Manager at Fruitizm.com, Pune’s leading online store for fruits, smoothies, fruit drinks and healthy snacks, which was taken over by BTW Group of companies in 2016. His mission is to check the products we ship and settle quality issues if any. In the meantime, he likes listening to symphonic music, research and analysis of future technology, software testing.


    In an exclusive email interaction with The MotivergePramod DongareOperations Director, BTW Group of Companies tells more about Fruitizm, and his journey so far.

    1. When was Fruitizm established?
    Fruitizm was established in 2015; taken over by BTW Group of companies in the year 2016.

    2. What was the biggest turning point in your life that changed your mind to become an entrepreneur?
    My continuous research, minute observation and the nature of forecasting the future trends made me contribute in functional alignment of operations in synchronization with technical system. The complete responsibility right from operational inputs up till building the whole system , inculcated me a realization of confidence of entering something on own and at large scale.

    3. How big is your team?
    We have 12 team mates including 7 operational executives, and 5 members of founding team.

    4. What makes Fruitizm a one-stop online food delivery platform for health-conscious foodies? How does it work?
    As far the raw fruits and its associated preparations are considered, Fruitizm enforces the fruits of all the types and best suitable for all the consumers. Fruitizm enacts on diverse ends - be it a direct buyer i.e. on b-c level or performing as a wholesaler, even the corporate & multinational companies are tied up with, very often Fruitizm caters to bulk and events orders as well.  




    5. How has been the journey so far?
    I did start my career with core logistics and later excelling into import, export and international operations of shipping and clearances. The experience of more than 10 years helped me capitalize the complete operations of Fruitizm, right from ground level hierarchy of a vendor coordination up till a managing the complete team at all ends. The journey being an entrepreneur is evolving everyday dynamically.

    6. Who are Fruitizm's major competitors in India? How do you differentiate yourself from other players?
    I will be blunt and clear than diplomatic, rather.
    We do not consider anyone as a direct competitors as the concept of Fruitizm is unique and we are the pioneers leading the market solely till date as far Pune city is considered.
    The subscription based fresh delivery module of Fresh and exotic fruits is implemented by Fruitizm on online as well as offline scale uniquely.

    7. What are the challenges faced in your journey as an entrepreneur?  
    I count on challenges as an opportunity to deliver and delegate at its best. As a being a part of group of companies , Fruitizm carries an aura of direct and indirect support from various subordinate teams of BTW group as whole, hence getting over any challenge is an outcome of teamwork all together. Still , to name a few operational difficulties i won't define them as challenges were riots of farmers and the fruit market being closed for consecutive days made us literally cease the day. Moreover , wherever we had dependencies on external entities was a tough time.  

    8. Have you raised funds so far? What are your future plans?
    Fundraising has always been capitalized over everyday rolling of the liquid cash flow. I never chose that business idea which would need tremendous initial capital investment. The first investment was manageable at ease. The more we roll at every intervals, the profit share is invested in terms wherever we infuse growth and development, e.g. technology. In initial stages we had a very basic Android application and website, at later stages after an year the same application is upgraded and website developed as far more advanced features are integrated.

    9. What keeps you going?

    10. What are your messages for budding entrepreneurs/young generation?
    The message is simple - be creative, be thoughtful, be original, research more like each topic.
